Air Washer works on the principle of adiabatic humidification which means the outside air is passed over the water-saturated cellulose paper pads, where water got evaporates by removing the heat from hot air equals to the latent heat of vaporisation and thus cool the air.
Cooling effect produced is function of wet-bulb tempreature Lower the wet-bulb tempreature higher will be the cooling effect and vice-versa. Which means Air washer works more effectively in low humidity reigon.
Since it produce cooling effect due to evaporation of air, so air washer is also known as Evaporative Cooling Machine.
